Guwahati airport, which is also referred to as Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI) named after Gopinath Bordoloi, who was a freedom fighter and also the first Chief Minister of Assam after independence, is located at Borjhar, around 29 km from the city of Guwahati, Assam.
